Why We Exist and What We Believe

Our Mission Statement:

CHEMinistry supports Midland-area home schooling families by coordinating and communicating opportunities that assist and encourage families in training their children to be godly Christians.

Our Statement of Faith:

We believe the Holy Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the very inspired Word of God. The Bible is without error, true, authoritative, and sufficient. We believe there is only one true God, Creator of heaven and earth, who eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that all things exist for the glory of God and that all humanity, Christ excluded, is sinful by both birth and action. We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, was born of a virgin and is both fully God and fully human and that he died as the sacrificial substitute to pay the penalty for sin. We believe Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and will one day physically return. We believe God perfectly created men and women equal before God as persons, and established their identities as distinct and complementary in their manhood and womanhood. For our good and His glory, God created marriage as the original and foundational institution of human society, established by God as a one-flesh, covenantal union between one man and one woman that is life-long, exclusive, and generative in nature. We believe there will be a future physical resurrection of the dead and only those who turn from sin and to Jesus in faith and repentance will be raised to eternal reward. We believe those who do not turn from sin and to Jesus will be raised to eternal punishment. We believe only through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ and repentance from sin can one be reconciled to God and experience true life and joy.
